Dairy House Stud

Terms and Conditions 2006

Equine Herpes Virus vaccinations will be required for mares coming to the Stud to foal. Mares will need to have had two injections with a month's interval in between and two weeks to have elapsed after the second vaccination before the mare comes to the stud. Mares with a healthy foal at foot and barren or maiden mares do not require these vaccinations.

All visiting mares must have veterinary certificates stating that the mare has been swabbed and is free from Contagious Equine Metritis

All visiting mares will be wormed on arrival and the owner will be charged accordingly.

Mares and foals will have their feet trimmed when necessary and the owner will be charged accordingly.

All veterinary expenses will be payable directly to the Veterinary Surgeon. Details of the Stud Veterinary Package are available on request.

Keep fees will be invoiced monthly. We reserve the right to raise keep fees if a mare is not collected within a reasonable period after the owner has been notified that she is ready for collection. All keep fees should be paid before the mare is removed from the stud.

While every care will be taken, we can accept no responsibility for any accident or disease contracted at the stud. Veterinary assistance will be called in where deemed necessary and will be chargeable to the owner. All mares are served at their owners risk and no responsibility can be accepted for injury, damage or loss caused through trying or serving the mare.
